DMM Figure of 8 - Silver

One of the most common uses for a figure of 8 device is to descend on a climbing line.
These are a classic abseil device, ideal for making smooth descents.
Robust design for intensive use.
To install onto your climbing line, 1st feed a bight (loop) of rope through the large eye of the figure of 8, then pass the bight over the small eye and attach your carabiner.
This is the most simple use for the figure of 8.
If descending on a double rope system pass both ropes through the device instead of just the one line.
In both instances, it is recommended that you also run a prussic loop in conjunction with the figure of 8 as a backup.
