Cobra 8 Tonne Rope

The cobra 8 t rope is braided from polypropylene monofilaments to a 28 mm diameter hollow rope and has a rope breaking load of 10.9 t. The 12-fold braid of 3 yarns allows for easy insertion of the spreader band and shock absorber. The production of the quicksplice is just as effortless – without any tools. As a system, the initial breaking load is 10.0 t.

The cobra 8t rope has an elongation at break of 17 % and an elongation rate of between 3 and 9 %.

The polypropylene monofilaments are extremely resistant to environmental influences and therefore have a first-class durability - they lose 2 - 3 % of their breaking load per year of use. That's why the cobra 8t system is extremely durable and can reliably protect a tree from damage for 8 years.
