Cobra Expansion Inserts
Cobra Inserts
The cobra insert used in the cobra systems enlarges the contact surface of the cable on the stem thereby reducing the surface pressure under wind loads. That way, pressure damage on bark and cambium is effectively avoided and a lacing-up is prevented. The pointed ends allow for easy insertion into the cable.
The point of insertion is determined by adding 20 cm to the circumference of the branch. The length of the expanding insert to be installed should be at least 2/3 of the branch circumference - just choose the appropriate expanding insert length from cobra's range of products.
