Steel Ring Friction Savers

Friction savers reduce premature wear on your climbing line, and eliminates damage to tree limbs caused by excess friction. Friction savers are "load rated", offering superior insurance for your safety. The use of a friction saver minimises friction when working from different positions in the tree, and can be wrapped around a stem for use as a false crotch where no natural crotch exists. By using your throw line and throw ball, the friction saver can quickly be placed in the crotch of a tree and climbing line installed, all from standing on the ground. To remove it either fit your retreival ball towards the end of the climbing line or tie a figure eight knot then pull on your line. The retreival ball or figure eight knot will pass through the large ring but not the small ring bringing your friction saver and climbing line to the ground.
